MindWave Daily was a journaling app for iOS and Android, conceived by Marcel Hagendoorn. I built the app; the API came from another developer. Version 1.0 came out in June 2020.
A log was text with a mood and, if you wanted, a photo, an audio recording or a video. Everything landed on a timeline you could search, by hashtag as well. The app asked a question every day, from a fixed set or one you had written yourself, and kept a streak per day or per weekday.
You could create several journals and choose per journal: private, shared with friends who could read along and comment or kept together as a team. Version 1.1 brought the shared journals, the comments and a subscription through in-app purchases in the summer of 2020.
Self-Chat followed in 2021: messages to yourself, delivered once, daily, weekly, monthly or yearly. I also built it as a separate app from the same codebase. Built with Ionic, Angular and Capacitor. The app is no longer available. It disappeared from Google Play in January 2025.
